SMC mainly concerns itself with strategy formulation, strategy implementation, team effectiveness and improve results by managing behaviour.
 
 
 

Examples of the kind of assignments SMC is currently engaged in:

  • To jointly chart with the Executive Board the consequences of a new strategy and to determine the new corporate management model.

  • To redefine the Business Planning Cycle of a large multidivisional energy company, addressing the level of involvement (’style’) of the corporate centre in the various businesses.

  • To assist the Executive Board of a bio firm in attuning its strategy and long-term research programmes, to ensure an optimal portfolio of products.

 
  • To organize a kick-off for a new executive team of a multinational, to create the conditions for optimal team performance with regard to a strategic initiative across various countries.

  • To assist a government ministry in the design of the strategic management and control of a large, long-term infrastructural project.

  • To assist an organization in improving the collaboration between the Supervisory Board and the Executive Board.

 

The SMC partners often act as trusted advisor. Regular one-on-one consultations with, for instance, the Chairman of the Executive or Supervisory Board will lead to a fruitful relationship based on mutual trust, which enables effective support on strategic dilemmas.
